You’ve read the advice. Tried the supplements. Changed your diet. But you still don’t know what to focus on.
When you’re dealing with hormonal symptoms, fertility concerns or complex health issues, there can be a lot going on at once. Nurturing Life Online helps you make sense of the different pieces, work out what deserves your attention first, and make practical changes with progessional support along the way
Telehealth Worldwide | In person in Tecoma
Does this sound familiar?
- You’ve tried lots of things, but you’re not sure what is actually helping.
- You have several symptoms and suspect they’re connected.
- One person tells you to focus on your gut. Another says hormones. Another says stress.
- You know lifestyle matters, but changing everything at once feels impossible.
- You want to understand why you’re making changes rather than blindly following another protocol
You probably don’t need more information. You need help working out what deserves your attention first.
This is where Nurturing Life Online is different
We start with YOU, not the program

I start with YOU, not the program.
Before joining, you’ll have an individual consultation with me. We’ll look at your symptoms, health history, menstrual cycle where relevant, sleep, digestion, stress, food and lifestyle.
From there, we’ll work out what deserves your attention first.
The online program then gives you the education, practical tools, and ongoing support to start putting those changes into everyday life.
What the process looks like
Start with an individual consultation
We begin by understanding your health, symptoms, lifestyle and what matters to you.
Work out what deserves your attention first
Together, we identify what deserves your attention first and where to begin.
Learn what you can change
Access practical education and resources relevant to the areas you’re working on.
Put it into practice at your own pace
Ask questions, use the group for ongoing support, and book individual support when you need it.
Get support when you need it
Ask questions, use the group and access individual support when needed.
Support designed to make things simpler
Clear priorities, practical education and support that fits around everyday life.

A Clearer Plan
Instead of adding more supplements or trying everything at once, focus on the areas that deserve your attention first.

A Supportive Group
Ask questions and learn alongside others without the noise of a huge online forum. Participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.

Support That Fits Your Life
Access the program from home, work through the education at your own pace, and get support when you need it.
What will we actually look at?
Menstural & hormonal health
Better understand your cycle, symptoms and hormonal physiology from both Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine perspectives
Food & digestion
Practical education around eating patterns, digestion and food choices. Specific to your Chinese medicine diagnosis
Movement & exercise
While it is important to move your body – it is important to know when and what to do.
Breathing & relaxation exercises
Practical exercises and tools that you can incorporate into your daily routine- specific to your own Chinese medicine diagnosis
Stress & nervous system
Explore the relationship between stress, recovery and your physical symptoms
Environmental considerations
Learn to recognise and avoid the environmental factors that can influence your health, and alternatives
Sleep & recovery
Understand the habits and patterns affecting your sleep and recovery
Blood glucose
Learn how meal timing, food combinations, movement and daily habits affect glucose regulation and the impact that has on your hormones
Understanding your patterns
One of my key goals for the Nurturing Life Online Program is that you gain an understanding of your specific body and patterns- and what to do about them.
More than 20 years of clinical experience, brought into your home.
I am Dr. April Wood, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and registered acupuncturist
After more than two decades working with patients, one thing has become very clear: two people can walk into the clinic with the same diagnosis and need very different conversations.
That’s one of the principles behind Chinese medicine. We don’t only look at the name attached to a condition. We look at the patterns occurring across the whole person.
Nurturing Life Online brings more of that individualised education and lifestyle support outside the treatment room, helping you understand what is relevant to you and what deserves your attention first.

Who is Nurturing Life Online for?
“I already know what I shoud be doing. I just struggle to actually do it”
Knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things.
You might already know you should sleep more, eat differently, move regularly, manage your stress or stop reaching for your phone at 11pm.
But knowing something is good for you doesn’t automatically make it easy to fit into your life.
That’s why Nurturing Life Online isn’t just a library of information.
We look at what is realistic for you. Instead of trying to change everything at once, we focus on small, practical changes you can actually maintain.
Sometimes that means changing the habit itself. Sometimes it means changing the environment around the habit. And sometimes it means recognising that now simply isn’t the right time to tackle that particular thing.
You’ll also have the support of the online group, where you can ask questions, talk through what you’re finding difficult and get help working out how to put what you’re learning into practice.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s making changes that can become part of your normal life.
What does membership actually look like?
- Full access to the Nurturing Life online education library
- New educational content added regularly

You don’t have to finish the program.
This isn’t another course you need to race through.
Use the resources that are relevant to you now. Come back to other topics when they become relevant. There’s no expectation that you work through everything in order or complete every piece of content.
This is a resource you can keep coming back to as your health, priorities and circumstances change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a replacement for my GP or specialist care?
In short no. Nurturing Life Online is desined to complement the care you already receive from your GP, specialists and other healthcare providers. It gives you extra support to better understand your health, and make practical changes in your everyday life, while your medical team continues to provide the diagnosis, investigations and pharmaceutical prescriptions that you may need.
How much time do I need each week?
There is no set amount of time you need to commit. The program is designed to fit around your life, so you can work through the information at your own pace and focus on what’s most relevant to you. Even small changes can take time to become part of your routie, so there’s no expectation that you need to work through everything at once.
Do I need to live near Melbourne to join?
Absolutely not! You don’t even need to be in Australia. Because I offer telehealth I can support you no matter in the world you are.
Why do I need an initial consultation?
In order to make sure I am providing the right support to you and right recommendations I need to do an Initial intake- this allows me to ask clarifying questions and ensure that the information provided is appropriate for YOU.
With health there is no one size fits everyone – if there was we would all be eating the same foods, and doing the same exercises and having the same health issues. That is definitely not the case.
During your initial appointment I will do a full health history, which will allow me to make a Chinese Medicine diagnosis, which then allows me to tailor the recommendations I make for you. It also allows me to direct you to the appropriate places within the online program.
Do I have to have acupuncture?
No is the simple answer. I am only able to offer acupuncture to people who I see in my clinic in Tecoma, for everyone online I offer practical advice for you to do yourself- and none of it will involve needling yourself!
What happens after my initial consultation?
After your initial consultation you will be given a personalised care plan, helping to guide you within the Nurturing Life Online Program. You will have access to the online community to ask questions, connect with other members, and touch base with April as needed for quick questions.
Can I join if I have a diagnosed medical condition?
Everyone in the group is from all over the world, and everyone has the same opportunity here. If it isn’t the right fit for you, you’re always free to leave. All I ask in return is respect for the group’s culture and privacy and a thoughtful application so I can understand the specifics of your situation.
At this time, I’m unable to support women based in the USA or Canada, due to insurance restrictions. If that’s you and you’re looking for support, please reach out — I can point you toward colleagues who work in a similar way within those regions.
Do I have to participate in the online group?
Everyone participates at the level that they feel comfortable with. If that means keeping to yourself, that is completely ok.
Where the online group can be fantastic is if you are looking for certain information within the program, another member may be able to quickly direct you to that without having to wait for me to see and answer.
It also can help to know that you aren’t going through your health struggles alone- dealing with chronic health issues can feel very isolating. Having a supportive community who are all going through a similar journey can be a breath of fresh air.
Can I book individual consultations while I’m a member?
Absolutely! The Quarterly membership includes the Initial appointment plus one follow up, the Annual membership includes the Initial appointment plus four follow up appointments.
If you want more appointments during your membership you can book those online at appointment prices.
What happens at the end of my membership?
At the end of your membership, you can choose whether you would like to continue. There’s no obligation to renew.
If you do renew, you’ll continue to have access to the full Nurturing Life Online learning library and online community. Renewing members also receive ongoing individual support, with two appointments included with a quarterly renewal or five appointments included with an annual renewal.
If you decide not to renew, your membership simply ends. You’ll no longer have access to the learning library or online community, but you’re welcome to return and renew again in the future.
What’s the difference between Guest Membership and paid membership?
The Guest Membership is a free three-week introduction to Nurturing Life Online. You’ll have access to the online community and a selection of resources from the Online Insights Vault, so you can have a look around and see whether the program feels right for you.
Paid membership includes access to the full Nurturing Life Online learning library, along with individual consultations and a personalised pathway to help you work out which areas are most relevant to you and where to focus first.
The main difference is that Guest Membership does not include individual health advice or personalised guidance.

You don’t need to change everything.
Your first step is an individual consultation where we’ll look at the bigger picture and work out what deserves your attention first.
